Pamper Evening!! :)

I'm so happy right now and that is of course due to my pamper evening.
I have been anticipating this and after a loooooong stressful week of work a pamper day or evening is definitely something I think would make anyone feel better and just de-stress and get you ready for the week ahead.

I thought it would be nice to share what my beauty regimes are and although I do not pamper myself daily I use a lot of the products that I have included in my blog today every day.

I started prepping for this yesterday after I went to the gym and had a walk around my local shops. I went into lush and tried a new bath bomb I have been eyeing up for a few weeks! Its one of the new ones called " Granny takes a dip". This bath bomb smells so delicious and I cant believe I didn't pick it up before. It is purple, blue, pink and green but my bath eventually went dark purple. The ginger, pepper and lemon scents were uplifting and I really enjoyed them because I'm kind of going of the scents that are too sweet and starting to like more of the tangy, musky, spicy smells!!

So I started my evening off with running my bath, which actually takes a really long time due to our weird taps so I could  prepare a lot whilst I waited for it to run!!
I first used my "Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds" Bubble bar from Lush by crumbling it under the tap to create the bubbles for my bath and lit a few candles around my bath just to create a sense of serenity and calmness so I could properly relax.

I grabbed my glass of cabernet, chucked in the Granny takes a dip Bath bomb to dissolve and jumped in!

The best way I like to relax in the bath is to read my kindle and escape from the realities of the world for a few moments.
at the moment I'm reading "The One" by Keira Cass the last book in the selection trilogy
(I AM HOOKED).

After about what seemed like a lifetime I eventually got out and slipped into my Jasper Conran Dressing Gown which is like wearing a cloud and wrapped my hair into a turban I bought from Primark.

I then washed my face with the Biore face wash and applied my "Oatifix" face mask by Lush that I keep in the fridge so its extra cooling and refreshing on my skin. I usually keep it on for about 15-20 minutes and the thing I like about this mask is that it doesn't harden after 10 minutes and it stays soft so it is really easy to apply and to wash off.
Once I have taken that off then I will cleanse my skin with my Garnier toner and moisturise  with cream and rehydrating eye gel.

Since I went to the gym yesterday and did legs day, my upper legs were in absolute agony today and I can imagine a lot of people are familiar with the feeling of the day after legs day. I used my Body shop Coconut Beautifying Oil to massage into my thighs to try and soothe the pain then applied my gradual tanner my Garnier in the dark version. I don't use any particular method to apply this but always make sure that I wash my hands after and reapply the fake tan to my hands how I like to do it.

I then took my hair out and applied my Paul Smith Total Treat Argan Oil Hair Transforming Cream.
Then I quickly blow dried my hair so I'm ready for bed.

I am currently sitting in my bed with my cat at my feet watched 500 Days of Summer as I really fancied a girly night in  and have my windows wide open as you will know if you are in Britain today that it is Unnaturally HOT! In my attempts to keep cool, (multiple ice lollies and cocktails) I have failed and as a true Brit spent the day complaining of the heat, Come winter  I will complain of the cold again!

Hope everyone else has a lovely summer!

Under the weather (and water)

I could not lie to you...
Yes I am blogging from my lush product filled bath.
I'll tell you as to why!

Today has just been really poopy! And I really wanted to write a blog post today and have been thinking about it for the past few days. What I did not anticipate was the worst day at work I have ever experienced so far. I found out today that I stress quite easily over things that have nothing to do with me.
I then went to  the gym lost my locker key and so had to get a very king lady come to chop it off.
And of course I had to find the keys in my bag as soon as I got home.
I'm sure i am not the only one and I'm very sure my day has been much better compared to some others in the world but grovelling and feeling sorry for myself actually works right now so my bath and glass of Pinot Grigio (ooh posh!) are my piece of heaven today.

Nevertheless, onto the blog I actually wanted to write!!

Today I wanted to write about my top 3 favourite beauty products.
People who know me know that I Luurrrve wearing make up and find it so fun to just sit on the floor in front of my mirror and do my make up for ages and ages!
I do tend to shop mainly high street brands with buying a little bit of luxurious products here and there or ask for some at christmas. But other than that I would say the overall price I pay for make up is quite affordable for the average teen/young adult. So for those wondering what high street brands are good for quality and price comparison then hopefully this will give you some tips!

I'd like to add that I thought I would only do 3 because I know I'm a bit of a rambler and these 3 products I'm about to list are products I use/wear every day and are always and forever going to be on my top lists!
I hope to be able to go about my beauty products I love in the future but want to keep is short and sweet for now until I can really start trying a lot of different things to write my opinion on.

1. Rimmel wake me up foundation

This is the first product that I really really love and I actually first tried it when it came as a sample in cosmopolitan magazine. It came in the colour true ivory and that's the colour I have used ever since because it seemed to match my skin tone perfectly!
I think this foundation is usually around the £7 or £8 mark but I have realised when I go to buy it in superdrug there's an offer going on at that time so I usually get it for a few pounds cheaper wehey!

This foundation has so much coverage I find and I usually use about 3 pumps which to some is quite a lot but I like heavy coverage with my make up as I work for like 9 hours a day in an office and it needs to last me through the air conditioning and stress! It also contains caffeine so it literally does wake up your skin. I feel my skin isn't as tight and has more moisture in it after I have applied it and it doesn't feel heavy at all.
I use a soft duo fibre brush to apply all of my foundations as I feel they give the best application and bet overall flawless, finished look.

2. Chance Chanel perfume

#

This perfume is just amazing errmygerd! The smell is just mmmm
And it looks soo nice
(I'm not very good at describing, sorry!)
I have the pink one and I have forgotten it's name.
It's very pricey but I bought this bottle last year at the airport as I had saved money to be able to treat myself to some duty free shopping when I went to turkey wih my boyfriend and smelt it the first time and it just seemed like a really nice treat!
It's very fresh and I would compare it to Marc Jacobs daisy as they are very similar scents. So if this is the kind of smell that you like but don't want to pay as much money I would recommend the Marc jabobs one instead as it is just as good!

3. Naked pallettes - urban decay
All of them!
They're all just amazing.

I have the naked 1, 3 and basics all in my collection now and I use them almost every day! There are 12 colours for each 1 and 3 and I can honestly say they will last me forever there is so much to choose from! Though I do love, 'half baked' 'smog' 'buzz' and the dark brown in the basics palette I use for my eyebrows because it's the perfect brown!
They are all very pigmented colours aswell which I like to I don't need to cake it on really which I don't like doing especially around my delicate eye area!
I already have enough skin problems as it is thanks!

I would recommend these products to anyone and everyone and cannot say enough good things about them!

I hope whoever you are (if there is anyone out there reading this at all) that this had given you some insight into what I like some high street brands and some luxury but I would say they were all worth the money I payed for them!

Please feel free to leave any comments I would love to know if anyone is reading my blogs apart from myself! :)

Trying to stay positive,
Katie
